DERMAL FILLERS

Fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, which can add volume to parts of the face, specifically where volume loss or wrinkles are present.

Fillers can be used in several areas of the face, such as the lips, cheeks, jawline, and chin. Fillers can last for anywhere from 6-18 months. Your physician will give you more specifics based on the product used and where the product was applied.

Pricing for Dermal Fillers starts at $650 per syringe. Typical Amounts of Filler:

  • Lips: 1-2 syringes
  • Cheeks: 2-3 syringes
  • Chin: 1-2 syringes
  • Jawline: 2-3 syringes
  • Smile Lines: 1-2 syringes

Each client has a unique face, so please keep in mind that each treatment will be tailored specifically for you.

WHAT IS A PRP FACIAL REJUVENATION?

PRP – stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma. A PRP facial rejuvenation, also known as a vampire facial, is an advanced skincare treatment method that harnesses your body’s own natural power to heal itself. It is often called a vampire facial because it involves drawing your blood, extracting the Platelets and then reintroducing them back into the skin.

PRP FOR JOINTS

PRP INJECTIONS PROMOTE NEW CARTILAGE DEVELOPMENT

PRP can help your body recover faster from tissue damage. It uses platelets from your own blood to promote natural healing. You’ve probably heard about platelets for their ability to clot your blood, but did you know that they also release proteins called growth factors that help rebuild injured tissue? PRP injections contain a much higher concentration of platelets and growth factors than what naturally occurs in your blood. One of our providers at Regenerative Health NY will take a sample of your blood and separate the platelets into a concentrated solution. Then we will inject the platelet-enriched solution into your affected joint to boost tissue repair.

LESSEN INFLAMMATION AND IMPROVE JOINT FUNCTION

Besides rebuilding damaged tissue, PRP injections also reduce inflammation and pain, and stimulate joint lubrication. This lubrication eases joints’ stiffness and restores more of their overall function.

One study gave PRP injections to patients with osteoarthritis in their knees. After six weeks, each patient had less pain and stiffness, and better knee function.

HOW TO LESSEN JOINT PAIN

Whether your joint pain is from arthritis, a sports injury, or one of the many other possible causes, you can find relief from PRP treatment. When you visit our office, one of our providers performs a thorough exam to pinpoint the origin of your joint pain. Once we find the cause, we start building your PRP treatment plan. Your joint health might improve with only one PRP injection. But if your pain is from a degenerative condition like arthritis, additional injections can slow the progression.

FAQ

What is the difference between Botox, Xeomin and Dysport?

Botox, Xeomin and Dysport are all considered different types of injectable neurotoxins that can help smooth and reduce wrinkles without the use of anesthesia. All three products are FDA-approved and considered safe to treat the appearance of wrinkles in the forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet and more. However, the manufacturing process of these three neurotoxins are unique to each product, which lends itself to some subtle differences. During a consultation, our expert medical providers will review your medical history, discuss your concerns and recommend which neurotoxin is right for you.

How does Botox work?

During your appointment, your provider will review your treatment areas and how many units of Botox are needed. Your medical provider will use small micro-needles to inject Botox into the desired facial muscles. The neurotoxin temporarily weakens the muscle so wrinkles are smoothed. At Regenerative Health NY, we take a comprehensive approach to your facial aesthetics and anti-aging. By combining neurotoxins and dermal fillers, we can address multiple areas of the face simultaneously, smoothing fine lines and wrinkles while restoring lost volume.

What do I need to know before my Botox procedure?

Typically, appointments take no longer than 30 minutes to complete, depending on the areas you are treating. To minimize the risk of bruising, we recommend avoiding anti-inflammatory supplements, such as Vitamin E, flaxseed oil and fish oil before your appointment.

What do I need to know after my Botox procedure?

Botox requires very little downtime. After your procedure, you can resume the rest of your day’s activities. Most people will have “Botox bumps” at the injection sites, which are small bumps that look similar to a mosquito bite. These bumps go away on their own and only last approximately 10-15 minutes after your Botox injections. We recommend that you let the injection sites heal on their own and not massage the area to reduce swelling. After your treatment, we also recommend refraining from exercise, receiving a facial or massage for at least 24 hours.

How long does Botox last?

You can begin to see results as quickly as three days after your appointment, but it takes fourteen days to see the maximum skin smoothing results of Botox. How long your Botox treatment lasts depends on a number of factors. While individual results may vary, typically you’ll be able to enjoy the look of your Botox results for approximately 3-4 months.

Will I still be able to make facial expressions?

That’s up to you. Whether you want to have a natural more rested and rejuvenated look, the “frozen” look, or anything in between, our medical providers will deliver the results you desire.

What other conditions do neurotoxins treat?

Neurotoxins are used in other cosmetic procedures, including lip flips, a non-surgical procedure that enhances the shape and volume of your lips without the use of dermal fillers. During the procedure, a neurotoxin is injected into the upper lip so the muscles in the lip are relaxed, essentially flipping your lip upward.

Botox and other neurotoxins are not just effective treatments for improving the appearance of fine lines wrinkles and thin, lips. Neurotoxins can relieve symptoms of TMJ, jaw tension and migraines for many patients. During the treatment, neurotoxins may be injected into your facial muscles, forehead, temple and jaw, relaxing the muscles and reducing the discomfort that’s often associated with these conditions. The use of neurotoxins for TMJ is considered highly effective; one study found that neurotoxins improved symptoms of TMJ in 90% of study participants.

Botox is FDA-approved for treating patients who experience excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis. During the procedure neurotoxins are injected to multiple areas in the underarm, blocking the nerve signals that are responsible for sweating. Typically, the use of Botox for underarm sweating lasts approximately six months but individual results may vary.

How do I know if I am a candidate?

If you have moderate to severe facial wrinkles that you would like to improve, a neurotoxin procedure may be right for you. With injectables such as Botox, you can begin with a mild enhancement and increase the results over time. It is essential to consult with an experienced medical provider that can evaluate your specific aesthetic goals to determine which neurotoxin procedure is a good fit.

Are there any side effects to Botox?

The most common side effects are minimal swelling and bruising at the Botox injection sites. There is a very low chance of infection.
